2015 Caspar Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 6 Bottle Box Allocation with Olive Oil and Honey Box

The 2015 Season:
This vintage will be remembered for high quality, but low yields. The 2015 growing season in the Napa Valley started out with unseasonably warm temperatures in the late winter and early spring. This resulted in an early bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May-during the peak of bloom-caused uneven fruit set which ultimately resulted in a much smaller crop.
2015 Caspar Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Notes:
The 2015 Caspar Estate Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the terroir of the property located in the Rutherford appellation above the fog line. The 2015 vintage is dark-dark red velvet in color. The aromatics are rich and elegant with powerful blackberry and black currant intertwined with notes of exotic spices, tobacco, and hues of rich sandalwood and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is opulent with sweet black currant fruit that draws you in followed by layers of richness. The finish is rich seductive and lingering while the tannins are fine and integrated. It exhibits all that the 2015 vintage is about: rich dark fruit that is classic Caspar Estate, certified organic. The 2015 is a hedonistic wine that will compel you to drink immediately, but 10 to 15 years of cellaring will be well rewarded.
