2016 Cultivar Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
|2016 Vintage Notes||
An early bud break followed by warm weather and spring rains brought a rapid start to this year’s near perfect growing season in the valley. The fruit enjoyed beautiful weather during bud break and plenty of time to hang on the vines. Although yields were down due to drought, the berries were nice and plump, which resulted in a balanced and complex flavor profile.

This cabernet comes from two of Napa’s finest vineyards in Atlas Peak. A ruby red wine that has a brilliance and depth of color. Aromas of black currant and plum fruit are intertwined with vanilla with notes of spice and floral hues. The wine is rich on the pallet with layered flavors revealing black cherry, plum, blueberries and a hint of licorice. A classic structure from Atlas Peak fruit, the long rich finish pairs beautifully with a hearty Rib Eye. Drink it tonight or tuck it away and enjoy in 5 years.
